China : CNITA sponsors HongDa Auto Textiles Innovation Forum

China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA) sponsored the First Forum of HongDa Cup’s China Auto Textiles Innovation that was held on December 12, 2007 in Shanghai.

The event was organized by Zhejiang Hongda Warp Knitting Co. Ltd.

CNITA Chairman Zhu MinRu, Chairman of China National Garment Association (CNGA) Du YuZhou, as well as Fu GuangWei, Chairman of Zhejiang Hongda Warp Knitting Co, attended the forum.

Zhu MinRu gave a detailed introduction to the proceedings of Chinese industrial textiles industry, as well as briefing the history and current situation of the industry. He also praised the development of the textile products used in the traffic and transportation and auto industry.

At the forum, the experts and scholars emphasized the huge demand on the auto textile products in China and the progress of the industry. They stressed that the auto textile products must be not only cheap, high-quality, comfortable, safe, eco-friendly and beautiful, but also created from recycling materials.

Experts believe that the industry players must follow international standards and take inspiration from advanced nations to offer wide variety of innovative products.
